The waves were bigger today, 4-7ft mostly closed out. Surf had poor conditions most part of the day. It cleaned up at sunset, the wind turned offshore, surf got glassy and waves were opening with tide rising. Surfing Dominical this evening ended up with a beautiful sunset.
Dominical waves were fun all day. Surf conditions were clean, wind was offshore early morning and it maintained calm for the rest of the day. The waves were opened, 3-5ft., waist to head high.
Nice day for intermediate surfers to paddle out and challenge themselves surfing Dominical beach break. Not recommended for beginner surfers, only if you are having a surf lesson supervised by a surf instructor.
Dominicalito beach had fun rip-able sets coming through for short-board and longboards, waves were 3-4ft. It was a great day for beginner and intermediate surfers to be out there.
Surf Playa Hermosa, Uvita
Hermosa beach was clean, the waves were peaky with good form. Surf was also good at low tide.
Surfing Playa Dominical
The surf in Dominical is clean, offshore winds, tide is starting to drop, sets are closed out, long rides between and barrels. The swell dropped out, waves are head high with occasionally over head sets, 5-7ft.
Surfing Playa Dominicalito
Surf in Dominicalito was glassy, the waves were inconsistent at peak high tide, as tide started to drop better rides were coming through. Surf is waist to shoulder high, occasionally head high waves.
Surfing Playa Hermosa, Uvita
Surf at Playa Hermosa was glassy, the wind is calm, the tide is dropping and the waves are open. Today is a small tide change and surf conditions should remain the same.
Surf conditions are poor to fair, onshore winds in the afternoon followed by rain. In the morning surfing was warble, waves were fast, 5-8ft. The current and rips are very strong.
*Today is not recommended for surfing beginners or intermediate surfers.
Tides were not good to surf Dominicalito most part of the day because of the rocks.
Surfing Playa Hermosa, Uvita
The waves were messy and big at playa Hermosa beach break most part of the day. At lower tide surf was favorable at Uvita. High tide, better conditions north of the beach at the point break.
Swell peaks today, waves are 6ft-10ft, tide is dropping and surf is closed out with a lot of rips. Conditions are poor for surfing Dominical this morning.
Tide is going low and it’s not possible to surf Dominicalito due to the rocks. When the tide starts to come up, Pico point break is a good option to go surf. Dominicalito beach break does not hold big swells and closed out at high tide.
